Alpaca Sleeping Bag - 100% Alpaca Filled and Compressible

  • $200.00
  • Save $300

Alpaca fiber is an excellent natural insulator due to its smooth hollow structure. It's also naturally light weight and very compressible. This compressible alpaca sleeping bag bounces back to normal size when taken out of the stuff sack, allowing this bag to be stored in much smaller space or even a hiking backpack!

Special features of this bag include:

  • Warm! EN Comfort Rated to 32F/0C
  • Ultra-Lightweight
  • Highly compressible
  • Comfortable in wide range of temperatures
  • Side and bottom zippers if you get too warm!
  • You can open the feet and use this bag to sit at the campfire
  • Bag can be completely unzipped to use as a blanket
  • Ripstop strong while soft outer shell
  • Comfortable inner lining
  • Full length both end zipper
  • Left (most common for Right-handed) and Right zipper option.
  • You can Zip a Left and Right two together!
  • Hood with pull cord to hug your head. Get completely cocooned!
  • Internal windproof wall to keep cold air out.
  • Smart quilting stitching to hold internal fiber sheets
  • Easy washing and quick air drying

Although made with 100% alpaca fiber, this high-tech bag is less expensive than many comparable (which are heavier and less compressible) bags currently on the market.

Nice alternative to down

What I like about the Alpaca Sleeping Bag is the roominess and width and the two zippers enable you to turn it into a big quilt. This is perfect bag for the Sonoran Desert. It is heavier then down, but it is warm enough for the Sonoran Desert, and it is non allergenic (some people are allergic to down), plus it is not hard on the environment in making it with Alpaca being used instead of down. (no geese or ducks are killed) and unlike synthetics, the insulation is biodegradable. I only wish that they would make a backpacking Quilt with Alpaca. It would be designed like the Enlightened Equipment quilt using Karo Baffles for the Alpaca Hair. https://youtu.be/gTW3raZcI9g. Overall the Alpaca Sleeping bag is super comfortable for camping and I think it will make the perfect desert bag as well.
