Brioche Knitting - Cowl Class - June 4, 2026 - 6 to 8 pm
This is an introductory class using the brioche technique. We will be creating a simple two-color cowl using two contrasting colors of bulky weight yarn. The pattern we will be using features a larger infinity scarf that can be worn doubled around the neck. Brioche knitting creates a lofty, fluffy textured ribbed fabric, often compared to a cushion or doughy texture similar to a French pastry. Thus the name.
Materials needed: Bulky weight yarn: Two skeins of contrasting colors. Yarn should be purchased prior to class time. Pattern will be provided. Students will need US #10 16” and 24” circular needles.
Instructor is Kate Robbins, and class size minimum is 2, maximum is 6.
