Weave a Rag Rug Workshop - By Appointment

Students will complete a 36-48" rag run to take home.    Individual instruction will include:

1. Preparing rags for weaving.
2. Introduction to 4-harness floor loom - its parts and function
3. Basic weave structure - plain weave

Workshop will meet two times, by appointment only.

First meeting to identify rags and prepare for weaving.  Second meeting will be weaving and finishing your rug.  Each session will last 2 to 4 hours.

All equipment needed will be supplied by Lodi Alpacas Uptown.  Students can bring their own rags or rags will be available for purchase at first meeting.

Looms are pre-warped.

Students completing the workshop are also entitled to weave additional rugs with minimal oversight for $12 per foot.

Instructor is Kate Robbins, and she will set up a mutually agreeable time for weaving.
